Lesson 18: Roles and Functions of an Education Media Center
In this lesson the
Educational Media Center is a unit indispensable to the
teacher-training programs of the College. It provides the following
services to the faculty, staff and students of the College: audio and/or
video media materials recording services, production services, basic
repair services, and consultant service on effective media utilization. To
do its job, the Center has a collection of audio-visual facilities
including cassette tape recorders, slide/tape recorders and projectors,
film and film strip projectors, overhead and opaque projectors, video
camera and other production hardware and equipment. For the most part,
the Center serves as a laboratory for undergraduate and graduate
students enrolled in Educational Technology courses.
Lesson 17: Assessment in a Constructivist Technology Supported Learning
In this lesson constructivists
view assessment as a process that involves both the instructor and the
student. Educators who prefer to use constructivist methods and
principles in evaluating student work have several different avenues to
choose from that can help enhance the learning experience of students.
Similarities between constructivist and traditional methods of
assessment do exist. Even though constructivists continue to research
and experiment with more interactive, experience based assessments, the
more traditional methods still prevail and are being used in classrooms
as the predominant means of assessment.
Lesson 16: Using the Project Based Learning Multimedia as a Teaching-Learning Strategy
In this lesson that this is a powerful motivator of the learners. It makes teachers look for and apply the methods that optimize learning effect. It makes teachers structurize the form of material. In lesson 15 it says that it will make the student think so it could be used a strategy to teachers. Because if the student think it will inject or retain to their memory. Because they give a time and effort to think about a solutions to the problem. As teacher's teach learner's learned through this.
Lesson 15: Project Based Multimedia and Learning: What it is ?
In this lesson i've learned that the
project based learning method is a comprehensive approach to
instruction. Your students participate in projects and practice an
interdisciplinary array of skills from math, language arts, fine arts,
geography, science, and technology. Project-based
multimedia learning is a method of teaching in which students acquire
new knowledge and skills in the course of designing, planning, and
producing a multimedia product. Many
present day activities focus on developing linguistic competence for
example, the ability to use lexics, grammar and phonetics of the
language. They also develop the pragmatic abilities of the learners to
use the language for real-life communication. The activity of
project-based multimedia learning stimulates through process in learners
by forcing them to think and make decision.
Lesson 14: Maximizing the use of the Overhead Projector and the Chalkboard
In this lesson i've learned more how to use the chalkboard and make my writings legible to my learners. I learned that i need to sharpen the chalk that i'm using. Make my writings 3 to 4 inches for legibility. Used colored chalk for highlights. But for me, i'd rather used the overhead projector (OHP). Because I dont need to adjust my penmanship and the fonts because its already readable and all students could read or see even though who are in the back. But if I cant afford to buy an overhead projector (OHP), I could still used the chalkboard that already provided by the government.

Lesson 13: Teaching with Visual Symbols
Teaching with visual synthesis is like a summarizing your lesson or entertaining your learners. Cartoons, drawings or comic strip will served as your visual aid when your telling a story on your learners. Graphs and diagrams is useful when you want to summarize your lesson. Maps is useful too because it helps them to find a place by using this. They could also learn which place a rich in products and they could also locate the continent or the equator. This is useful and an effective visual symbols in teaching.
Lesson 12: The Power of Film, Video, and TV in the classroom
Most of teacher's know what is the used of film, video and TV in the classroom. But some of teachers used it as their substitute. They used it, for them to have time gossiping or relaxing. They just let their learner's watch the film without their guidance. But it is a big help for teachers to enhanced or improved the senses of the learners in learning. But teachers must set a rule in using it. Because there is a possibility that learners could watch some movie that rated SPG. So teachers must guide their learners correctly.
